Our Mission

Vision the most important of the five senses to know where you are going and the same with the Church a Vision is most important to see where it is going. Remnant’s vision is that a community of believers of every race, nationality and culture would come together to worship God, love Him, and each other. Remnant will be a place where the Word of God is preached, the power of Jesus is demonstrated, and the people of God are transformed. The lost, oppressed, depressed and suicidal will find refuge, freedom and peace. Remnant will be a community of believers that are not lacking spiritually, naturally or emotionally.

About Remnant Community Church

It is our passion to help people develop their spiritual life through connection with Christ. We believe a relationship with the Jesus Christ of Scripture is the source of everything one needs to make sense of this world and live in it with a sense of inner peace. We are on an exciting journey of faith. A personal experience with God and the joy that comes through worship and service stirs us continually. At Remnant Community Church you will find people who love the community we are building through the love we have found in Jesus.

BELIEFS

The Scriptures Inspired The Bible is God’s word to us. It was written by human authors who were under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1: 20-21) God in Three Persons We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as being the eternally self-existent Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as a trinity, that is, one being existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (II Cor 13:14; Luke 3:22, Matt 28:19, John 14:26, John 15:26, I Peter 1:2) The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. (Matthew 1:22,23 Titus 2:13) The Creation and Fall of Man We believe that man was created good and upright. However, man willfully sinned and thereby was subjected not only to physical death but also to spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12-19) The Salvation of Man We believe man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11) The Ordinances of the Church These two ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. While we respect all acts of spiritual obedience the Bible teaches that Baptism is to be done by immersion, following salvation, as a one-time act of obedience and identification with Jesus Christ as Lord. The Lord’s Supper is an ongoing symbol remembering our Lord’s death, burial, resurrection and promised return. (Matthew 28:18-20, I Corinthians 11:23-32) The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make man aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with the power for living, enables understanding of Biblical truth, and guides them in righteous living. He provides every Christian with spiritual gifts for service at the moment of salvation. We seek to live under His control daily. We believe all Christians are entitled to and should seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues. (John 16:7-13, 14:16-17, Acts 2:4) Sanctification We believe sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. The Scriptures teach a life of “Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:14, I Thessalonians 4:3-4) The Church and Its’ Mission We believe that the true church is composed of all who have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ. We also believe members of the true Church, which is the bride of Christ, are eligible for membership in the local church of Christ. While recognizing the value of associating and cooperating with other groups of Christians, we believe that the local church should be independent, self-governing, and free from any denominational control. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Heb 10:25) Church Tithes and Offering Remnant Community Church believes that tithing is a commandment and is necessary to sustain the physical need of the church. Weather you tithe off of your gross or your net is between you and God. (Malachi 3:10) Divine Healing We believe deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, I Peter 2:24) The Second Coming of Christ (The Rapture) We believe the blessed hope of the church is Christ’s return from heaven to catch up the Christians who have died, together with those who are alive, to be with Him forever. (Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, I Corinthians 15:51-52) The Millennial Reign of Christ We believe the second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years. (Matthew 24:25-30, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 19:11-14, Romans 11:26-27, Revelation 20:1-3) The Final Judgment We believe whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8)
