The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to call all people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the everlasting gospel embraced by the three angels’ messages (Revelation 14:6-12), and to prepare the world for Christ’s soon return.

About Gettysburg SDA Church
The Gettysburg SDA's are involved in many local community outreach programs including, Soup Kitchen, Eden's Way Community Garden, Nursing Home visitations, Vegan and Vegetarian Cooking Schools, Health Fairs, Ruth's Harvest as well as international mission trips, ADRA (disaster relief) and evangelism. The local Gettysburg church welcomes visitors and seekers with open arms. Stay for our visitor, vegetarian meal after every service.

BELIEFS
7th Day Adventism’s Four C’s
Christ – Jesus is the divine Son of God. He is God in the form of man. He is the Eternal Self-Existent One and is NOT a created being. He is fully God and man. Jesus is the creator of all things. Hebrews 1:1-3 Colossians 1:16-18
Cross – Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the penalty for man’s sin through His suffering and death on the Cross of Calvary. 2 Corinthians 5:19. Only Jesus, the Sinless One, could pay our sin-debt. “The wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23. By believing on Him and accepting the grace of HIs shed blood, we receive the gift of eternal life…”Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:9
Commandments – Because we love Jesus for His sacrificial death, we want to obey Him as He commands in John 14:15. Our works do not save us. But, because we are saved, we choose to keep His commandments as the guide for successful living.
Coming Again – One of the greatest promises in the Bible is that Jesus will return to this earth very soon! Bible Prophecy reveals that very fact based on the events that we see happening in our world today. We call ourselves Adventists because we are anticipating the advent, or return, of Jesus when He will take His people back to heaven with Him.
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. The theology of the Seventh-day Adventist Church resembles that of Protestant Christianity, combining elements from Lutheran, Wesleyan/Arminian, and Anabaptist branches of Protestantism. Adventists believe in the infallibility of Scripture and teach that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
