BELIEFS

Welcome to Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore, Washington. We worship Jesus in the tradition of the Episcopal Church. We live our faith through our outreach work, which extends through the region and, at times, internationally. Our campus is between Seattle and Bothell.  We believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ accomplished awesome and wonderful things for everyone. The power of sin, evil, and death is broken. Dying and rising, Jesus reconciles and reunites humanity with God. The way to eternal life in His Kingdom is open, starting now. It is not a future promise. Over and over, we experience God’s forgiveness, healing, reconciliation, and transformation. We are deeply committed to living in the power of this Paschal (Easter) Mystery to forgive, heal, reconcile, and transform our own lives. We are deeply committed to diversity and inclusiveness. All share in our parish life. “All” means all. We have a good time with one another. There is laughter, fun, and sharing meals. We express opinions and feelings. We don’t always agree. We still work together. We often have doubts. Disagreements and doubts are part of everyone’s spiritual journey. We are not afraid of questions, even questions without answers. We think about and discuss the things of life. We continually grow in our faith and in our relationship with God. We have not arrived. We are not at the same place in each of our journeys. Join us in your journey.
