I am so thankful for this Church. It is here, where I walked down the isle while the hymn, ‘Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus‘ was being sung at invitation. I was saved and baptized at this most precious church! Though my husband and I were there but a short season of our walk of faith, this church has and will forever be deep within our hearts. While there, we were taken in as family because we had no family in the area. We grew in faith in the young adult’s class- where we studied the Word and fellowshipped with our class away from church. Such a wonderful place to be a babe in Christ and be nurtured and loved. It’s been 19 years since we left Wilmer and moved back closer to our family but our time there has never been forgotten and the memories we made have been shared fondly with our children over these years. We know that one day, if not here then on the other side, we will again see all those special people...Bro. David, Ms. Linda, Chris, Marsha, Wade, Kerry, Scott, Melissa, Ms. Faye...the list isn’t extensive but We love y’all all! Words don’t even come close to conveying how much joy and love we hold for this Church!
