Our Vision as a church is to be found faithful as God’s people. Our goal is neither to be bigger nor better than other churches. Instead, we want to faithfully follow God’s leadership in every area of church life. We desire to see people know Christ as Savior and Lord, and we desire excellence in our ministry. We do not do this just to make a church bigger or more efficient. We want to reach people and minister with excellence as a means of being faithful to God.

About Dawson Family of Faith
Dawson is a church family that seeks to be found faithful as God’s people. We come from all over the greater Birmingham metropolitan area and from many different walks of life. Although we are diverse in backgrounds, we share a very strong bond through our faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We take seriously His teaching and seek to practice our faith each day in our homes, in our community, and in the work place.
There are many exciting ministries taking place on the Dawson campus, as well as going forth from our faith family. From a rapidly growing Preschool Ministry to an effective ministry for Senior Adults, Dawson is making a serious effort to make a difference in the community and in the world by living out a sound biblical faith.

As a church we accept the Bible as our sole authority for faith and practice. We believe, accept and seek to apply all the scriptural principles and to exhibit and emphasize the following scriptural principles as the identifiable foundation of our church’s ministry.
Every believer is a priest unto God. As a result, each member has direct access to God and also is directly accountable to God for individual faith and practice. As a congregation of priests, the church has the responsibility to provide opportunities for all members to use their spiritual gifts. It is the responsibility of each member to take advantage of these opportunities.
The church is to glorify God through corporate worship including preaching, music, giving, and other expressions of faith which honor God and provide authentic experiences of worship for the individual believer.
The church is to serve Christ and bear witness to the message and mission of Christ by meeting human needs in His name.
The church’s ministries are supported by the members voluntarily giving their time, talents and financial resources. The church’s members are invited and encouraged to be good stewards of their resources.
The church is unified by the power of the Holy Spirit through fellowship with Christ and our love for one another. This unity does not require uniformity in either thought or interpretation of scripture, but it is to be modeled after the interdependence of the different parts of the body.
The church will model Christ-like living and teach Christian family principles and skills such as parenting, nurturing, and relating to one another in Christian love.
