Rev. Bovold (Pinecrest Presbyterian) expelled my six-year-old son from school for allegedly using the word “gay”, without due process or appeal, with immediate effect. My six-year-old son doesn’t even know what that word means, let alone understand the sensitivities surrounding it. Rev. Bovold called me belligerent and barred me from visiting the church, because I spoke up for my son and about deeply rooted problems at their school. This episode makes a mockery of Christian values.
