I was abused by the old priest and several members. The current priest slandered me to keep me quiet and 2 members actually harassed me so badly trying to keep me quiet that I was able to get both of them fired from their jobs. I also was able.to turn in one of th3 members who abused me to law enforcement since she was my doctor and she drugged me and slandered me to hide the abuse. I have told the Diocese of Atlanta numerous times and they refused to investigate. Please be aware that if you attend church there and get caught up in an abuse situation where the victim has spoken out, the church will not investigate. In my case, their refusal to investigate meant involving law enforcement and getting people who tried to bully me into silence fired. The church was more than happy to allow random parishioners to harass me on their behalf and not lift a finger to help them when I started contacting employers. (While I understand the parishioners were lied to, they made the decision to bully and terrorize an abuse victim to try and silence her. Therefore I had no qualms taking their livelihood from them. One does not survive decades of abuse and decide to speak out about it only to have the church secretary and her idiotic husband who was on the vestry silence her). Also that couple is so stupid THEY STILL GO THERE after the church sacrificed their quality of life to keep their secret. Not only was I abused but the church was all too happy to let church members get their lives ruined to keep it from coming to light! But, it didn't work. Stay away from these people.
