Our Mission

Our mission is to joyfully receive the forgiveness and transforming power that God’s grace offers through faith in Jesus Christ and to lovingly pass it on to others.
We fully accept God’s grace in Jesus Christ, which is freely given to us, and, through this grace, by faith, we are forgiven of our sins and made holy. Thus freed to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength, and to worship Him in spirit and truth, we are empowered to love our neighbor with a holy love that seeks to bring them into that same relationship with God. Our goal is to help people become disciples of Christ who will take His message to the world. By this, many will come to know, love, and glorify the one true God, and rejoice forever in His presence.

BELIEFS

We accept and embrace the historical doctrinal standards which have guided Methodist Christians. We insist on the primacy of scripture in all our doctrines and practices. In unity with the historic Christian Church, we affirm the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds. We affirm the great principles of the English Reformation as set forth in the 25 Articles of Religion, which John Wesley selected from the 39 Articles of the Anglican Church. These standards will have the force of law in our church and are not just historical or traditional. We look to the standard sermons of John Wesley and the Wesley hymns as a faithful but not infallible interpretation of the Bible, Creeds, and Articles of Religion. Tradition, experience, and reason will help us to understand and apply scripture, but MUST NEVER supersede or contradict it, nor violate these doctrinal standards and historic creeds which we consider to be an accurate summary of biblical truth. These doctrinal standards cannot be changed and must not be ignored or violated.
