I had attended New community Church for quite some time, not even knowing that they were a Baptist Church. They say that they are a Non Denominational Christian Church, but that is Not true. They are a Southern Baptist Church, and Southern Baptist IS a Denomination. I do give them credit for the fact that they are doctrinally calvinist,(I assume), which is alot more biblical than arminianism. But the new Pastor, Brett Johnson, came from an arminian church! Actually a Missionary alliance Church. So those that THINK they are being taught calvinist theology, are actually not. Their service is aimed at seekers, when the Bible clearly states that NO ONE seeketh after God. So be pepared for hard to heavy metal rock music, and strobe lights, that is (THEIR VERSION) of what biblical praise and worship to Jesus really is. More like a concert. The contemporary music isn't horrible, just a little too wild to worship too. Messages are downloaded from the internet, and basically STOLEN from either Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church, Or Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, and used by the Pastor as His Own words, which is VERY deceitful. EVERYTHING at this Church is NEW AGE, and RARELY if ever to you see anybody actually bring, or even open a Bible! Messages are short, and watered down, feel good, or self help. Homosexuality is embraced Here, and gossip runs rampant, as well as your private life being totally violated. Those with Spiritual gifts and talents, are unable to use them, UNLESS they are in the Pastors special clique. Meaning those that tithe the most, attend EVERY thing that is going on at the Church, or Live in the same neighborhood as Him. SOME of the People here are VERY self centered and rude! One Man in particular, is a Man named DAN COLLETTE, whom has some type of authority there, as a PRAYER Leader! All the TRUE Christians have left for another Church, and Membership continues to decrease. This CHURCH is in MAJOR need of REPENTANCE and needs to learn what TRUE GRACE really is! I therefore would NOT recommend this Church to ANYBODY! Thank you!
