nd I would fix her dinner then leave them alone to chat. my mom was bed fast at the time. I came home from church one Sunday morning and my mom who was 83 said I need to be baptized today. we took her to church and my husband and son in law, on a chair lowered her into the water and she was so excited...she said i feel so light. Bro Rose had the church sing during that time and made it so special. My life has such amazing memories of being at Harrison Hills. I learned so much from Sis Rose. She is such a lady of poise, elagance, such composure.....I don't think there will ever be anyone outside my family I care for and love more than her. If you ever spoke to her concerning a problem or situation her wisdom and kindness is amazing. I watched Bro. and Sis. Rose raise there children and always with total examples of parenting even when some of course would see fault . Its hard to rear children in a glass house. No one can be the hostess that Sis Nila is. When people speak of the first lady of the church......Sis Nila should be the first lady of the UPC. There isn't a day go by that I don't think of Harrison Hills or someone or something that was preached, talked about. I had always told my husband that when he retired I would go where he wanted to go and thought it would be easy, this has been the hardest years of my life being without what i consider my church family. Anyone that has had the privilege to attend church there at Harrison Hills or meet anyone from that church has been blessed.. My life is the richer for ever attending the years i did. Harrison Hills is always in our prayers as well as the church family.
