The Presbyterian Church of the Upper West Conococheague is a 275 year old congregation. Its sanctuary dates back to 1794 and has changed very little since it was renovated in 1915. The congregation is warm and friendly. The members are from both Mercersburg and the cities and communities of Franklin County. The mission of the congregation is to provide an environment where the love of God is shared and where He inspires the congregation to grow in faith. Through its groups within the congregation it sponsors Operation Christmas Child, The Giving Tree, the Townfest and Springfest Breakfasts, community joint worship services with other congregations and many opportunites to worship and grow in the Christian Faith (Sunday School, Tuesday Prayer and Praise meeting, and Wednesday Bible Study and more.)
