In case I did miss a sermon whereas Truman did preach about "giving to the church", it would definitely have to be a rarity, and that is OK, because truthfully when you give to a church, you receive many blessings from God, and God's people need to know this. (Malachi 3:10) What i should have said is "preaching about giving to the church" should not occur on a frequent basis. I have previously attended a church, and the sermon seemed to attempt to "guilt you into giving more." I have never heard the preacher say anything to manipulate you into giving to the church, which to me is showing faith, and trusting in the Lord.
