This morning, October 16, 2022, we had church!! Sister Rosevelt gave an inspired message and at the altar call, several came forward and were slain in The Spirit. Immediately, I remembered days of forty years ago when a move of The Holy Ghost was expected every Sunday. I also remembered part of my testimony when on Friday evening, we would go into the homeless (Mission) District of Dallas and bring a message of salvation and a little food, to the lost. Occasionally we would be asked, "Who are you?" Without hesitation, I would respond. “I am a born again, saved by the blood of Jesus, child of the living GOD, Jesus loves you."
Some leading theologians say when we are born, we are not responsible for our actions until we reach, what is called, The Age of Accountability, or the age when one can determine right from wrong, usually ten or eleven and sometimes, much earlier. But according to today’s standards, usually by that age they have been exposed to movies openly portraying witchcraft, transgender idioms and RPM (rape, pillage and murder)
True, It is virtually impossible to go day after day, week after week, month after month, living a life free of problems simply because we are not in heaven, yet. Personally, I do not hold with God deliberately punishing us or giving us tribulations to test our faith. We ourselves do a fine job of bringing things into our lives that are not considered GOD worthy. We must be vigilant at all times and aware of where we are, according to HIS standards. Prayer is the key to keeping things in line. It doesn’t have to be some well prepared, four-page speech, just something from the heart, on a consistent basis. HE already knows everything about us. Just talk to HIM like HE is your best friend, because HE is.
