I grew up in this church and they *were* like family. The leadership banishes people when they bring up their faults (hello, we all have faults, we're sinful humans) and tell the congregation not to associate with those who have walked away after being treated terribly. There are so many red flags, I'm astonishing I didn't see them sooner. They've lied straight to the congregation, multiple times. When preaching, they jump around to scriptures that back what they believe (but are taken extremely out of context). Children are not safe here; biblical marriages are not safe here. So much abuse. So much trauma. The Holy Spirit does not reside here
