Calvary Chapel South is a Bible-teaching, Gospel-centered church for people of all ages and all lifestyles. We are located in downtown Kent, Washington. We began as a small Bible study in 1990 and have grown into a large church full of people who are hungry for the Word of God and excited about making disciples. At CCS you can expect to find friendly people worshiping Jesus and interacting with one another in a casual environment. We have two Sunday services (9AM and 11AM) that last about 75-minutes each. Our services begin with a time of worship led by talented musicians. We then dedicate our time to a verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter study of the Bible. We have a fun children’s program, called Paradise Point, which takes place during both services. High School and Middle School students gather during the 11AM service. We also have a quality cafe where you can support our missionaries by simply buying a coffee.

CCS holds to the theology of the Bible. No additions. No subtractions. We teach the Word. We believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God given through His authority. We believe there is One God and that He is eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is God and He came in human flesh, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, and died a brutal death on a cross which has atoned for the sins of the world. He has also resurrected and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He now sits in glory, ruling and reigning, until He will return to earth in both power and glory. We Believe that Man is sinful and separated from God and must be saved through the shed blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit indwells Christian’s enabling them to have victory over the flesh, and to live Godly lives. Both the saved and unsaved will be resurrected; the saved unto eternal life, and the unsaved unto eternal damnation. We believe that the church is spiritually united in Jesus Christ and acts as one body with various members.
