Meet The Pastor
Reverend Adel Thalos
Adel was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up as a member of a Presbyterian Church and a Coptic Orthodox church. He committed his life to Jesus, when he was 15, during a youth retreat.
Adel graduated Colorado Christian University with his B.S. in Organizational Management and from Denver Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity and is currently working on a PhD in Theological Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Adel served for many years as a Youth director, before being called as pastor at Church of the Savior in Wichita, Kansas.
From there he served as Singles Minister at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, then Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA.
Rev. Thalos has been at Valleybrook EPC since February of 2011.
He and his wife Lynne have been married for 20 years. Lynne is a clinical pharmacist and possesses a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling along with an undergraduate degree in Journalism.
Adel and Lynne have three sons; Abraham is majoring in Philosophy and Law at the University of Georgia in Athens, Isaac is majoring in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and Jacob is a Junior in High School, while completing an Associate’s Degree from Chattanooga State.
