Meet The Pastor

Pastor Tim Copper
Tim Copper is the founding Pastor of Heritage Bible Church and has led the congregation since 1993. Born in 1950, the oldest of five children, he was raised on a farm in Oregon and was admitted to Dartmouth College where he accepted Christ as his Savior on his 20th birthday.
After his salvation he married Mary Beth Taylor, and graduated with a BA and MBA from the college. He spent six years in management with Sprint, Inc. before entering the ministry in 1980. He served as the pastor of a growing CMA church for several years while completing his seminary studies at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1983. During these years he also founded and administered a large Christian school.
In 1988, he became the founding pastor of Shepherd of the Valley Bible church in Hood River, Oregon where he served for five years. During this time he became a leader in the fledgling home school movement that has influenced and transformed thousands of families for Christ.
Moving to the Vancouver, Wa, area in 1993 to pastor Heritage Bible Church, Tim also began an apprenticeship ministry to train high school and college age home schooled youth. The companies that have grown up out of this vision have trained, employed, and supported hundreds of men and women and their families, and now serve some of the largest corporations in the world.
