Meet The Pastor

Pastor Patrick Stefan
Married for over 13 years, Patrick and his wife, Dani, have three sons: Luke (11); Ian (6) and Nathan (3). Patrick was called to be the pastor of Rochester Reformed Presbyterian Church in 2013 and was installed in September 2014. Prior to ministering in Rochester, Patrick was the Associate Pastor of Salt and Light Reformed Presbyterian Church in Longmont, Colorado. Before entering the ministry, Patrick served his country for eleven years in the US Marines and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 as a part of Regimental Combat Team I. Patrick received his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. in 2011, and is presently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Denver in The Study of Religion (New Testament/Christian Origins). He is writing his dissertation on the topic of Resurrection Discourse in the Pauline Epistles and its Effect on the Rise of 2nd Century Christianity. Patrick is a visiting professor at Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington DC, and he currently serves the Army Reserves one weekend a month as a chaplain. In Colorado, Patrick performed Combat Stress counseling to Soldiers around the country. Now, he is the head Chaplain for a Civil Affairs Battalion. Patrick says that “Second only to the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the greatest treasure the Lord has given me is the opportunity to be married to my beautiful bride Dani and together raise three wonderful sons. My family has taught me how the grace of God impacts our everyday life.” Patrick’s hobbies include spending time with his family, backpacking, woodworking, and reading.
