Meet The Pastor
Pastor Johnny Crane
BBT is excited to welcome our new pastor, Johnny Crane. He grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi as the son of a pastor. He accepted Christ as his Savior on January 17, 2004, at the age of 13. He studied Pastoral Theology at Hyles-Anderson College, where he met his wife, Emily. They were married in April of 2011, and have two children, Carly and Carson.
Pastor Johnny was on staff at his home church in Gulfport for 7 years, where he served as pastor for the children's, youth, music, and young adults ministries.
As a young man, he felt as though God was working on his heart about the call to pastor. On May 21, 2017, the members of Blackford Baptist Temple unanimously voted Mr. Johnny Crane to become their next pastor upon the retirement of Pastor Larry Harvey, who served the congregation of Blackford Baptist Temple for 35 1/2 years. He officially became the pastor of Blackford Baptist Temple on June 18, 2017, where he is currently ministering to the people of Blackford County.
