Meet The Pastor
Pastor W. "Mike" Trenchard
Hi! I am Pastor "Mike" and would like to welcome you to St. John's Church. I have been associated with the church for approximately five years and preached about 12-15 times per year. In September of 2017, the senior Pastor was Rev. Harlan West; who had done so for nearly 40 years! In October, I succeeded Rev. West as was planned.
I have approximately 25 years of service in ministry which includes being a Part-time Pastor, an Interim Pastor (2x's) and as Pulpit Supply. My calling has two parts. First I was to be a Music Teacher in the public school from which I retired in 2016. I was also called to ministry as a Part-time Pastor in a small rural church (first appointment lasted 17.5 years at the Napoli UMC). My training was attending and completing the Course of Study School when I was with the United Methodist Church. Since that time, I have felt God's call to serve in a Non-Denominational Church.
My theology is considered traditional or orthodox. I believe in Christ's birth, death and resurrection. I believe the Bible is the Word of God and is precious. I believe in the Trinity: God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I seek to be a leader and pray that our church become known as a "House of Prayer".
