Meet The Pastor
Pastor T. Max Myers
Pastor Max was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and loves all things Philly (though he is learning to love New York, too!). His testimony is one of the amazing grace and love of Jesus. In 2009, he was saved from a heroin addiction and a life headed for physical and spiritual death. Since giving his life to the Lord, Pastor Max has devoted himself to the study of God’s word and reaching out to those on the same destructive path God saved him from, working as a missionary both locally and internationally.
Most recently, Pastor Max served as a chaplain at a full gospel rescue mission, equipping men through the life changing gospel of Jesus and enabling them to live sacrificial new lives for His kingdom.
Pastor Max met his wife, Becca, in 2013 serving with a mission organization. They knew God brought them together for a special purpose and have served in ministry together ever since. God has also blessed the Myers with custody of three amazing children.
When not evangelizing, Pastor Max enjoys watching sports (any team Philly-related), playing golf and tennis. He loves reading theological books (mostly old dead guys!)! He is excited to be part of the Living Word family and looks forward to serving the community of Elmira through his time at the church!
