Lead Pastor Sam McKinney
Pastor Sam McKinney is married to his wife of 29 years, Nicki. They have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Pastor Sam is a carpenter by trade, but after graduating from Teen Challenge in 2004, he pursued the call to preach by attending Vintage Bible College and earning his Bachelor of Theology degree. He served at Christian Life Center as an Associate Pastor for 8 Years then heard the call to plant a church. He started pastoring New Beginnings Assembly in 2012. The church moved to High Point in 2016 and changed its name to Thrive Church, which was a more fitting name for the vision and mission of the church.
Pastor Sam and Nicki have been through hell and back in their marriage, but God has restored their marriage and they are passionate about leading others to Christ, to freedom from addictions, to restored marriages, and to see people thrive in Christ and live their destinies.
