Meet The Pastor
Pastor Mark Montgomery
Sebring Church of the Nazarene warmly welcomes Mark Montgomery as Senior Pastor to our community of faith. Mark and his wife, Valarie Montgomery share a bleeding heart for God and His church along with a missional passion for introducing others to Jesus.
Mark pastored churches in Illinois and Michigan acquiring over 37 years of leadership experience in both religious and business settings. He zealously committed to church planting and served on the regional task force of Organic Churches, and as the Michigan District Director of the NewStarts strategy team.
Mark earned his undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion followed by a master's degree in Divinity from the Nazarene Theological Seminary. He also pursued numerous certifications in church planting and financial planning.
Valarie graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Michigan State University, and since accumulated over 25 years of experience in her field.
