Meet The Pastor
Pastor Mike Pisney
Pastor Mike Pisney (pronounced pish' nee) served 13 years in full-time youth ministry at three churches which were relatively small to very large. He also pastored a church for 5 years before moving back to Texas. He began his pastorate at Mineral Heights on June 4, 2017.
Our pastor was born into a Roman Catholic family. He was saved by faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 10 at Good News Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. The same church ordained him for the gospel ministry in 2000.
The Lord called him to full-time Christian service while at summer camp at the age of 16. Pastor Pisney received both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth Ministry, as well as, a Master of Arts degree in Bible Exposition from Pensacola Christian College (Pensacola, FL). He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Bethany Divinity Seminary (Dothan, AL).
Pastor met his wife Sarah, during college and they married in 1993. They have two adult children who have both graduated from Bible college.
