Meet The Pastor
Pastor Alan Van Hooser
Friendship UMC is an exciting congregation of commitment and depth. We have quite a story to tell. Our church has been on this corner of Ford Rd. for a very long time BUT we are not easy to label, are active in our community and growing in faith.
I'm hard to label too. I am a second career pastor, making my way as a salesman and manager before going to seminary. I am an SMU alumni and an Elder in the United Methodist Church. My style is John Wesley inspired, Bible centered and practical. Jesus is alive in our every day living. Friendship and I aren't trying to be someone else. You'll have to check us out to see what we are.
WE OFFER TWO SERVICES.
One at 8:30 and one at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary.
We will Keep You Awake and Do Indeed WORSHIP in the name of Jesus at both.
You will find Friendship an easy place to visit. We are relaxed in our dress, warm in our greetings, and will make you welcome in our church home. Check out the "Activate Your Faith" tab for ways to connect with us by volunteering.
