Founder Dwayne Brown
Pastor Dwayne Brown is the founding pastor of Romans 116 Church in Lynnwood, Washington. Born and raised in Jamaica, Pastor Dwayne overcame humble beginnings—walking miles to wash clothes at the river and selling in the market to afford school fees. Through every hardship, he remained rooted in faith, guided by the fervent prayers of his grandmother.
In 2002, he immigrated to the United States with only $20 in his pocket and a dream to build a better future. He worked diligently as a Union Carpenter, eventually becoming a Journeyman and later the founder of Yah Mon Construction LLC. In 2020, Pastor Dwayne accepted the call to ministry and began preaching the gospel. He was officially ordained in 2020 and launched Romans 116 Church—a ministry committed to Faith, Family, and Freedom.
Pastor Dwayne is also a gospel artist known as Jamaica D, whose music testifies to God’s grace and the power of perseverance. He serves alongside his wife, Lady TaShara Brown, and together they are raising their children to honor Christ. Pastor Dwayne is passionate about building strong families, raising up leaders, and helping people walk in their God-given purpose.
