Senior Leader Joe Gil
Guy Takashima is the Senior Pastor of Coast Christian Fellowship. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Westmont College and an M.A. in Church Leadership from Vanguard University. During his twenty years of ministry experience he has been involved with the merging of four congregations, which has uniquely equipped him to lead God’s people into unity. Guy is passionately committed to empowering his congregation to fulfill their God-given destiny to transform cites by the supernatural power of God. He and his wife have four beautiful children.
Chris Takashima has resided in the South Bay community for nearly thirty years. In 1992, she married Guy Takashima and began ministering with him at Hope Chapel, Hermosa Beach. There, she co-taught a marriage class with Guy that helped hundreds of relationships to spiritual health and new life. Together, they have four children, presently ranging from elementary to high-school age. Chris chose to home educate the children through the elementary and middle school years. She loves to counsel and teach in the areas of marriage, parenting, and personal healing. Her own experiences with childhood abuse have given her great empathy and authority to bring hope and restoration to those she ministers to. God's love, His faithfulness, and His power to heal remain the foundation of her life and testimony.
