Pastor Scott Brewington
At West End Baptist Church, we honor motto, "We will reach the lost at any cost." This mission continues to be true in our overall mission. "The mission of West End Baptist Church is to reach, teach, care for, and disciple every person possible, at any cost, until the coming again of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
West End Baptist Church is a Christ-centered family of born-again believers who fellowship together and minister together to the glory of God. Our mission is clear and comes from the pages of the Bible. We are a Bible believing church with a heart for fellowship and service. We worship to honor our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Our approach to ministry is simple yet biblical:
Reach- We work and pray daily in the hopes that Christ will allow us to reach some for Him. As Christ did, we attempt to reach people where they are and show them who Christ is. The goal is that many will have a life changing experience by trusting Jesus Christ and Savior as Lord.
Teach- Teaching is a vital part of our ministry here at West End. Teaching goes hand in hand with the great commission. We are to not only reach people, but also teach them so that we can all grow and mature in our faith. We seek to teach so the word of God will spread through our members into our community and world. The Word of God is the teaching tool of our Church.
Care For-It is often said, "When you join West End, you are not joining a church, but a new family." The gospel can only be shared in an atmosphere of love, forgiveness, and respect. The goal is as John said, "Little Children, let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth." The body of Christ is one of God's greatest gifts to us and we seek to care for each other.
Disciple To disciple someone is to set before their eyes a true example of Christian living. We seek to build true disciples who will follow the Word of God and follow Christ.
As pastor of this church, I thank the Lord for all our members and visitors. It is my deepest prayer that our church family will continue to grow and the name of Christ will continue to spread into our community and around the world. Thank you for being a part of our mission to reach, teach, care for, and disciple in the power and name of Christ Jesus. It is a blessing to be a part of a caring community of believers who see the need for the lost and dying world to be saved and commit to reaching, teaching, caring for, and discipling others. To God be the glory for the great things He has done!
