Meet The Pastor

Pastor Martin Malzahn
Martin Malzahn, an ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, holds master’s degrees from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and Union Theological Seminary. He comes to Trinity Lutheran Church from Wagner College where he served as chaplain to Kairos House. Prior to his work at Wagner College, Pastor Malzahn worked at Columbia University, where he served as assistant university chaplain in partnership with 22 religious life advisers to support programming and create opportunities for interfaith dialogue. While working at California State University, Monterey Bay Malzahn developed ecumenical religious programming at. He has also served as pastor for two Lutheran congregations, St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Carmel, California, and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Naugatuck, Connecticut.
