Meet The Pastor
Pastor Mark DeVine
Mark DeVine is currently an Elder & Teaching Pastor at SRBC. He has been married to his wife Jackie for 39 years. They have two grown children, Drew DeVine, who has went to be with the Lord, and Sam DeVine (Sam). He attended Clemson University to study electrical engineering, but was led by God to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he earned a Master of Divinity and a PhD. The Lord has given Mark the opportunity to pastor five different churches, as well as serve as interim or transition pastor for twenty others. His first experience at Smoke Rise Baptist Church came when he served as a consultant in 2019. Mark was then asked to come in and serve as transitional pastor in 2022 and became the teaching pastor of SRBC in the spring of 2023.
