Meet The Pastor

Pastor Randall Scott Lockhart
Greetings! My name is Scott Lockhart and I am from the Northwest Arkansas area. My wife and I have been in ministry for almost 20 years! We have been at Stillwell Baptist Bible Church for almost 5 years! Let’s see if I can sum up who I am, and what I am all about, in just a few short paragraphs. I was saved at the age of 9 in February 17th, 1991. I can still remember the pastors office where I kneeled down and asked the Lord Jesus to “come into my heart and wash it as white as snow.” While not the most precisely Biblically accurate statement, it was a genuine cry for salvation to the only one who could provide it, Jesus Christ, my savior. From that moment on, even at just 9, the Lord got to work changing me from the inside out. I was baptized the next Sunday and at the age of 17 years old, I surrendered fully to whatever the Lord had for me. From there I went to Baptist Bible College (Mission University) in Springfield MO. I got my four-year degree in just five short years! From there I went to work at Temple Baptist Church in Springdale Arkansas as their Children’s Pastor! My wife Jessica and I met at Temple Baptist Church in Springdale Arkansas and were married in 2004. Just last year we celebrated 20 wonderful years of marriage. We are the parents of three boys, Maxwell (14), Maverick (4), and Malcolm (1). Each day with our family is a wonderful gift and we are so incredibly joyful to have such a beautiful family. Here at Stillwell, we are surrounded by the most kindhearted, united, gifted, and beautiful people on the face of the planet. I have made it my goal in ministry to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to train and disciple believers to follow after Him, and to never shy from preaching the truth. Even when it makes us feel uncomfortable and we fall under conviction from the Holy Spirit. It is our goal here at Stillwell to make sure we encounter God each time we meet, and walk out of the doors of our church different people than when we came in. Ready to make a difference in the battlefield that is our world and further the gospel of Jesus. Each and every single one of us is a missionary to whatever field we find ourselves. Whether that be at school, at our jobs, in our families, in our community, anywhere and everywhere. Our goal here at Stillwell is very simple. It is a cycle, one that should and must repeat in order for the church to survive and be healthy. It is Live, Love, Grow, Share. What it looks like to live out the principles that Jesus has taught us, looks like this, Love others more than ourselves, Grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and Share the Love of Christ to others so they in turn can Live, Love, Grow and Share….   This is our goal, this is our mark, and this is what I strive to do in my everyday life. Thank you for stopping by, I hope I get the chance to meet you!
