Our Mission, Belief, and Vision Statement:
Mission Statement: Valley Christian Ministries, a Word based ministry is a part of the body of Christ and it must be expressed as the same in the world, and in the light of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught us many things both by Word and example-to be concerned for the welfare and the well-being of others, to love our neighbors as ourselves, to be concerned for justice. For the church to be silent in the face of need, injustice and exploitation is to deny the Lord of the church.
We, the pastor and members of Valley Christian Ministries do adhere to and participate in the general mission of the Church of Christ as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20. All things come from God-the earth and its fullness, our own capacities and all we possess.We believe that all things should be held and used in joyous stewardship to Him to help God in His redemptive purpose in the world. The church then must always be in the world actively obeying God's purpose for it. As a redeemed and redeeming fellowship, the church must seek to serve society. This redemption is a continuing necessity.
The Nicene Creed: We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried; and the third day he rose again, according to the scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again, with glory to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets; and in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
We endeavor to carry out the Master's Mission in the following manner:
LOVE: To love the Lord with all that is within us and by loving our fellowman.
LIFT: To lift Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer of mankind through preaching, teaching, and reaching.
LEAD: To lead men, women, boys and girls into a personal and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Friend.
LIVE: To live as examples of Jesus redeeming love in all of our daily activities and encounters.
