Meet The Pastor
Pastor Larry Kassebaum
Pastor Larry joined our team as our Interim Senior Pastor in August of 2022. Pastor Larry had retired in April of 2021 after forty-six years of parish ministry. His most recent congregation was Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa, AZ where he had served as Senior Pastor since May 1 of 1997. He earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a PhD (Education Administration) from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He earned his Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA. Pastor Kassebaum did his internship year in west Phoenix (1973/74). He had served as Senior Pastor of congregations in Ridgecrest, CA, Syracuse, NE and Lincoln, NE before moving to Mesa. Pastor Kassebaum and his wife Judy have been married just under fifty-two years and have two children and eight grandchildren- all currently living in Chanhassen, MN. The Kassebaum’s live in NE Mesa, but spend considerable time in airports traveling back to see the kids and grandkids.
