~MY STORY~
After 28 years of running from the lord and walking with the world struggling with an addiction to drugs and a collapsed marriage. The light turned on it was the summer of 1999 I gave my life to the lord immediately he freed my life from addiction and reconciled my marriage 3 years later after being saved. Little did I know that the lord had a great plan for my life and so the Journey and the process of being transformed started and continues up to this day.
Called into the ministry: After 3 years of just serving wherever needed I was asked to work with the youth what a challenge to help teenagers discover the fact that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives.
Five years later I would be challenged by Pastor Nathan Ogan to enter into three years of seminary and upon graduation I was asked to be the Associate Pastor. I then was asked to preach for the first time at a local soup kitchen for the homeless and that is when I heard the lord calling me into the ministry by the working of the Holy Spirit and also confirmation through the body of Christ.
Little did I know at that time this was the preparation that would lead me to Emmanuel Baptist Church. Upon my arrival at Emmanuel with only four members and the challenges of a community that needed the love of Christ were overwhelming.
However, by the grace of GOD the church slowly started flourishing and now here it is over eight years later and the church has greatly increased both in membership as well as love. The Lord is using the people of Emmanuel to reach the community, and sharing the good news of salvation that only Christ can bring.
