Grace Baptist Church

I haven’t actually attended church here. But I want to tell a story about this church. I moved to Redding in 2018. I didn’t know anyone. No friends, no family. I was working at a grocery store and renting a little apartment. In August there was a huge fire in Redding. I was evacuated. The College shelter was full, so I had nowhere to go. I spent the first night in my car at the parking lot where I worked. Someone came by and told me I could stay at Grace Baptist Church. They took me in, no questions asked. There was quite a crowd. They gave us a place to sleep, 3 square meals a day, a clean place to shower, and actually spent time with us. They were so good to us. I could tell they are Christians. I was looking at their spiritual program and I am impressed that they encourage development of every aspect of Christ’s example. I think I should go there and see if I could learn to be a better person and a better Christian.
