Meet The Pastor
Pastor Brent Merten
Hi, I'm pastor Brent Merten and I'd like to personally welcome you to Fount of Life Lutheran Church!
I am a 1985 graduate of Northwestern College, Watertown, Wisconsin, where I received training in Greek and Hebrew. In 1989, I received his Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. And, prior to graduating from the seminary, served a one-year internship at Zion Lutheran Church in Denver.
From 1989 to 1996, I served as associate pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Algoma, Wisconsin. Then in 1996, was called by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod to plant a church in Eagle, Colorado, where my family spent the next 20 years. Beginning In August, 2016, I accepted the call to serve Fount of Life, and look forward to the ministry opportunities of our future.
My wife Jane and I were married in 1989. We have two grown children, Matthew and Anna, as well as a son-in-law, Cole, and a grandson, William.
