The mission of this Church shall be to bring together followers of Jesus Christ, to share in the worship of God, and to seek to do God’s will, individually and as a congregation, especially as that will is revealed in the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here. Waterford UCC is Waterford's newest church, though we have been organized since 1835. We are a progressive, adventurous group that takes Jesus' teachings seriously, welcomes all, and listens for the Holy Spirit's guidance. We are an Open and Affirming Congregation. We are led to make a difference in the world, and we believe that God is still speaking,

As a new neighbor in the community we are discerning our ministries in Waterford, and we are open to suggestions and needs!
We offer services to anyone in need, and follow the teaching and leadership of Jesus, who did not discriminate among those who sought his ministry. We are an Open and Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Christ.
BELIEFS
We follow the Congregational Way, which holds that each of us is on a faith journey leading to more light and truth in God's unconditional and salvific love. We accept doctrinal statements and creeds, but we do not use them as a "litmus test" for membership. This is because each of us is at a different point in our journey of discipleship. We preach and teach a Trinitarian God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and hold that each person is indivisibly one in God.
We believe that Jesus' life, death, and resurrection taught us that extravagant welcome and radical hospitality are the practice that his churches must follow. We welcome everyone who walks through our doors: "No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life's journey."
