About The Gathering Tree
We are a gathering of persons exploring what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. We help each other navigate issues of life, meaning and faith.
What you can expect:
* A gathering of about an hour that is informal and friendly
* A setting where knowledge of the Bible or religion is not necessary
* Teaching that is relevant without a lot of religious language
* An atmosphere where it is okay to ask tough questions
* An opportunity to be challenged, but to move and connect at your own pace
* A gathering of people who are willing to pray for you

BELIEFS
We believe that one divine, immortal, all-powerful God exists.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s son, who shows us what God is like. We understand that He was killed by His enemies, was raised back to life by God, and is alive today.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the active presence of God in the world.
We believe that the Bible was written by people who were inspired by God.
We believe that God created everything including people, who resemble God.
We believe that people naturally separate themselves from God by choosing to be selfish.
We believe that God forgives us for our selfishness when we choose to have a relationship with Jesus and live like Jesus.
We believe that baptism is a sign of moving away from our selfishness and beginning a new relationship with Jesus.
We believe that the Church is a gathering of worshipers who have a relationship with Jesus and who desire to live, love, and serve like Jesus. The Church actively invites people to encounter Jesus.
We believe that persons who live like Jesus will teach and encourage each other to mature.
We believe that God is trustworthy in the past, present, and future.
