About The Way

We are a non-denominational gathering of believers seeking to grow together as we help each other develop into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to see our community changed through the power of the Holy Spirit as we pursue a genuine relationship with Him and each other in truth and love. We're not about pre-packaged programs and canned ministry done 'by the numbers.' Our goal is to give God His church back and to allow His Holy Spirit to lead us into deeper communion with Him. We have ministry offerings for all ages and would love for you to come worship and grow with us.

BELIEFS

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men under the supernatural direction and inspiration of God through the Holy Spirit (God-breathed). It contains no errors, and is the complete, final, and only authority in all matters of faith, morality, and conduct. We believe that God exists eternally in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - equal in power and glory. He has revealed himself through His Word to be perfect in love, holiness, and righteousness. He created all, upholds all, and governs all. We believe that God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. God showed His love for all people by sending His Son to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life with God in heaven. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, God Himself, and that He became completely man. Conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of a virgin, Mary. Jesus lived a perfect sinless life, and chose to die as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people for all time. He was bodily resurrected from the dead and appeared to many people. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father (the highest place of honor and power), interceding (standing in to provide protection) for the sins of His people (those who accepted him as Savior and Lord). He will come in glory to righteously judge all people based on their acceptance or rejection of Him. We believe that Jesus is the only way to bridge the chasm of sin that separates Holy God and fallen mankind, thus He is the only way to have a relationship with God now, and eternal life with God in heaven. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is received in full when someone accepts the free gift of salvation made available to all people by God through Jesus, so that all true Christians experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He is the power that Christians have that enables them to live a Christ-like life as God leads them. The Holy Spirit is our pledge and promise of eternal life. We believe that mankind was created in the image of God for the purpose of perfect communion with Him and was given rule over all the earth. However, man forfeited everything when he chose to disobey God in the Garden of Eden in spite of specific warnings regarding the consequences of doing so. As a result, sorrow, tears, pain, sickness, and death (both spiritual and physical) came into existence. This was never God’s intention (and therefore not His fault). All people who have lived since that time have been born into sin, for which the penalty is death. God regenerates those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. God declares them righteous, forgives them of their sins, adopts them as His children, incorporates them into His body, and empowers them for His service. No one can come to the Father except through Jesus. Only through accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and by making Him Lord of your life can you be forgiven and set free from your sin to live a passionate and abundant life now for His glory and to spend eternity with God in heaven. Those who make the freewill choice to reject Jesus Christ will suffer God’s wrath for their sins and will suffer eternally in Hell. We believe that Salvation depends on accepting Christ as both Savior and Lord and that Jesus will return to the earth physically to raise the dead, judge the world, consummate His glorious Kingdom, and bestow eternal blessing on those declared righteous through faith in Him (His bride, the church).
