BELIEFS
Our Statement of Faith and Beliefs
1.) The Scriptures are the inspired, infallible Word of God. (1 Jn.1:1, 2; I Tim.3:16-17)
2.) There is one true God embodied in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deut.6:4; Mt.28:19)
3.) We believe in the deity of Christ, and that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God:
• His Virgin birth (Lk1:27-35; Mt.1:23; Isa.7:14)
• His death on a cross. (1Cor.15:3; Eph. 2:16; Col.2:14; Heb.12:2)
• His resurrection of the dead. (Mt.16:21; 1Cor.15: 3-4; 2Cor.5:15)
• His ascension to the Father. (Acts1: 9-10, 1Cor.15:3-4)
4.) Without God, man in his spiritual nature is lost, undone, and without hope. (Rom.3:19-23)
5.) The salvation of man is through the shed blood of Christ. (Mt.26:18; Rom.5:1-11; Heb. 9:22, 11:14)
6.) The sacraments of the church are:
• Water Baptism. (Mt.28: 19-20; Rom.6: 1-4)
• Holy Communion. (1 Cor.11:23-32)
• Marriage (Gen.2-21-25; Heb.13-4)
7.) We believe in the power and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
(Acts 1:8; 1 Cor.12:1-31; Gal.5:22-23)
8.) God seeks the progressive maturing of the believer.
(Rom.12:1-3; 1 Thes.5:23-24; 1 Jn.2:12)
9.) God’s plan of finance of His work is through the tithes and offerings of His people. (Mal.3:8-12; Mt23:23; Heb.7:8-9)
10.) We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth, and consummation of the Kingdom. (Acts1:1-10; 1 Thes.4:13-18)
11.) The church is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ Himself being the cornerstone. (Eph.2:19-22; 4:8-16)
