About High Point Bible Chapel
We are a group of people who meet together to worship, pray, study the Bible, and enjoy fellowship with each other. We are a nondenominational church seeking to adhere to the Word of God in our structure and practice.
Some of our distinctives are:
We are led by a group of elders rather than a single pastor (Acts 14:23, 1 Peter 5:1-5)
We encourage participation in the speaking ministry by gifted men of the church (1 Peter 4:10-11)
We set aside time to remember the Lord's death each week (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We are committed to the expositional teaching of God's word (2 Timothy 4:2)
BELIEFS
Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh. He is eternally equal with God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. (John 5:18)
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, Word of God. It is our sole authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Because of Adam's sin, every person is born with a sin nature and commits sin. As a result, we are lost and in need of salvation. (Romans 5:12)
Eternal salvation is based on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is given freely to all who believe in Him as their Savior. (John 3:16)
Every believer is permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit at the time of salvation. The Holy Spirit illuminates God's Word to all believers, and gives them the desire and ability to serve Him. (Ephesians 1:13, Philippians 2:13)
Christ will return at any time, to take all believers to heaven in their new bodies, and they will be with Him forever. (John 14:3)
