Clearnote Church is protestant, reformed and evangelical.
In a nutshell, that means that we believe in:
Scripture: We believe that the Bible is absolutely true.
Jesus: We believe that Christ died for our sins and is the only hope of salvation.
Grace: We believe that God has given His grace to us freely.
Faith: We believe that faith is the only way we can receive God’s free gift of grace.
The Glory of God: We believe that God deserves all the glory for His works.
Those are some big truths. We want to find a humble, helpful way to live out all those big truths in our modern world.
What does it mean to be a Christian and a man or a woman in twenty-first century America? What does it mean to be a father or a mother or son or daughter or boss or employee or professor or a student? When do we speak out against the evils of our day and age, and how?
Some of the Bible’s answers to these questions are more popular than others. We want to preach them all with love - from the pulpit, and with our music, and in our lives and fellowship with one another. We’re working to create a church culture that is in the world but not of the world. In this age, it can be tricky to do both. Right now, some of our folks wear t-shirts, and some of them wear suits. We have a rock band and we say the Apostle’s Creed. We don’t know how it will all end up, but we trust God to lead us on this journey.
