Meet The Pastor
Derrick Hiatt, Pastor
Pastor Derrick Hiatt was born and raised right here in Baltimore County. He married his wife Rebecca in December of 2008, and they have four children ages 7-15. He has taught History at Kenwood High School for 18 years. In 2018, Pastor Derrick began preaching part-time at New Hope and stepped into the role of Lead Pastor in 2021.
A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR:
I grew up in New Hope Baptist Church under the preaching of Pastor Bill Farmer, my grandfather. The Lord saved me at a young age and I’ve done my best to be His faithful servant ever since. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that lessons, morals, and values contained within it remain incredibly relevant to living life to the fullest today. Faith and family are the most important things to me and I thoroughly enjoy telling others about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how He has changed my life. I hope you’ll come and be a part of our church family as we grow and serve Jesus together.
