MINISTRIES AND GROUPS
We have a non-traditional setting that encourages discussion of the topics and the relevance of the WORD of GOD. Our vision is to edify GOD and serve GOD through service. We want to share the Good News with others to provide tips to help others grows in their relationship with Christ and to encourage them to not give up on GOD or themselves. At the Heart of Christ Fellowship, love is not an act --- its what we desire to do.
BELIEFS
Heart of Christ Fellowship (HOCF) exists to edify, praise, glorify, and obey God, expand the His Kingdom, and change lives in a positive manner to the best of our abilities whenever reasonably possible. The following strategies are central to our success:
• Assembly of Believers. We believe Believers should meet and/or come together on a regular basis to worship, praise, and glorify GOD. Every time we enter the presence of God we worship. We believe that there are many expressions of worship including: singing, commitment, praying, hearing the word of God, giving, baptizing, meditating, appropriately serving others, and the celebrating the Lord's Supper. (Matthew 4:10, John 4:23-24)
• Evangelism. We believe in communication of God's word to the world. The Bible declares that God is not willing for anyone to perish. We believe that by sharing and communication of GOD’s Word to the world gives people the opportunity to accept Christ as their Savior. We believe it is their choice and our purpose is to simply our relationship with Him whenever reasonably able to do so. The Bible places the responsibility of evangelism on the church so that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known. (Ephesians 3:10, II Peter 3:9)
• Ministry. We believe the hands-on demonstration of Christianity to one another and to the community we serve is ministry. The Bible says, "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples-that you have love for one another." (John 13:35)
• Discipleship. We believe in educating and training others in God's word. Discipleship brings about fulfillment and maturity in the church. (Hebrews 6:1)
• Prayer. We believe that prayer is a powerful tool and the early church did pray when assembled together. Prayer drives the priorities of the church and the spiritual power that changes the world. Christ demonstrated the power of prayer by making it a priority of His earthly ministry. (Acts 1:14, John 17, I Peter 5:7)
• Develop Leaders. The organization will ordain and license leaders to support the mission and edify GOD.
• Plant Churches. This organization will plant churches as led by the Holy Spirit.
