To seek and save the lost, and transform them through love and compassion into disciples through a relationship with the Father.
City of Refuge exists to afford an opportunity for all people, of all nationality, color, creed and religion to find a place in the Lord Jesus Christ. We do not teach tradition nor religion, but freedom in a relationship with the creator of the universe who desperately loves all people.
We create an environment during our praise and worship that allows a freedom that was enjoyed in the New Testament churches,
you can be just what Jesus wants you to be individually. We do not try to make you, “one of us,” but one of His and that happens with your being intimate with Him in Word and action. Our faith is based upon the love that surpasses our own understanding and is built upon seeing Him through our works and deeds.

The principle behind our name and what we believe is set upon Joshua 20 where the Lord commanded cities be built as a safe place even when guilty. Since we are all guilty, and God sees sin as all the same, we all need a place where we are safe from the avenger of blood. We need a place that is safe in a world full of danger. Our world, especially in the Bible belt, has become a place of religious connoisseurs instead of real Christians that still fear and love the true God. We have created a place where you are safe, no matter what. We will not leave you where you are, we will help you and provide a place where you can be who you are and develop your own relationship with the One we love so much.
