Lead Pastor Jonathan Russell
Jonathan and Dottie Russell have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of five kiddos: Kaitlyn, Timothy, Braden, Chase, and Adalyn. Their family is deeply committed to loving God, loving people, and living on mission together. They value faith, family, and fun, while remaining anchored to the call of planting and strengthening Book of Acts churches throughout Western North Carolina.
Jonathan holds a degree in Bible & Theology from Indiana Bible College and is an ordained minister with the UPCI. He is passionate about Apostolic doctrine, the sufficiency of Scripture, the transforming power of the Holy Ghost, and the essential role of the local church. He previously served as Senior Pastor of New Life Wilkesboro for over 11 years and New Life Jonesville for 3 years—both churches now led by capable and trusted pastors.
After intentionally transitioning leadership in 2025, the Russell family is now focused on relocating to Boone and executing the Storia Church launch plan. They are eager to serve the people of Boone and WNC for many years to come.
