Meet The Pastor

Reverend Michael Bill
Appointed this past spring, Mike began serving St. John's as Senior Pastor beginning on July 1st. 2017. Mike previously served as the Associate Pastor at Sharptown UMC for almost 15 years, primarily serving as the Campus Pastor of Sharptown North (a second campus of Sharptown) for the past two years. Mike grew up in Monroeville, NJ and graduated from Woodstown High School in 1994. He received his Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology from Asbury College in 1998 and his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2002. Mike loves the local church, and enjoys seeing people connect with God personally, as well as in authentic relationships and community with others. His leadership and administrative gifts, love for preaching and teaching, and his heart for seeing people grow are his primary strengths in ministry. He and Rachael have regularly hosted groups inside of their home over the years, and look forward to building into others at St. John's and our surrounding community. Mike is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and serves on the District Committee on Ministry. He is also on the Board of Directors at Delanco Camp and serves as President. Mike has been involved in his community by serving as a police chaplain. Mike is married to Rachael and has three children: Caleb, Elijah, and Isaac. In his free time, Mike enjoys sports of all types, including Fantasy Football. He loves coaching his kids, watching all of the Philly sports teams, and even occasionally trying to finish a round of golf with the same golf balls he started with...
