Our Mission
WHO WE ARE:
* Epiphany has been part of the Norwood neighborhood since 1928. We have moved in new directions in the last two years. We fed nearly 100 people last Thanksgiving – something which hadn’t been done in the area for some time – and expanded outreach through our Women’s Group. Our place and mission are in Norwood.
* We constantly grow in awareness of the needs of the community, e.g. isolation, mental health issues, our need to care for children and young people. We are a new kind of family, of radical inclusion and love. We are there for each other.
* Epiphany is a place of grace. We live the gospel by bringing God’s love into the world in Christ. We are a people of the Word and not propositions.
* We bring God’s love to the world in action as well as word. We are concrete – “God’s work, our hands.”
* We break down barriers of race, language, and gender. We are open to all kinds of people, including those who have no idea what it means to be part of the body of Christ. (1 Cor 12: 12-13) We build relationships with others in the community who want to help with the work.
* We envision the church as a home that is always open and full of life, where people find a welcome, connection, and conversation, no matter who they are and how they struggle. We envision the church as a resource where people can come and know they will find help (e.g. seniors, hungry people, single parents).

QUIENES SOMOS:
* Epifanía ha sido parte de la zona de Norwood desde 1928. Nosotros alimentamos casi l00 personas el pasado Acción De Gracias – algo que no se ha hecho en la zona durante algún tiempo – y el alcance ampliado através de nuestro Grupo de Mujeres. Nuestro lugar y la misión están en Norwood.
* Constantemente nos crecemos en el conocimiento de las necesidades de la comunidad, por ejemplo, aislamento, problemas de salud mental, nuestra necesidad de cuidar a los niños y jóvenes. Somos una nueva especia de la familia, de la inclusión radical y amor. Somos el uno para el otro.
* Epifanía es un lugar de gracia. Vivimos el evangelio al traer el amor de Dios al mundo en Cristo. Somos un pueblo de la palabra y no de proposiciones.
* Traemos el amor de Dios al mundo en acción, asi como la palabra. Estamos concreto – “La obra de Dios, en nuestras manos.”
* Rompemos las barreras de raza, lengua, y género. Estamos abiertos a todo tipo de personas, entre los que no tienen idea de lo que significa ser parte del cuerpo de Cristo ( 1 Corintios 12:12-13). Construimos relaciones con otros en la comunidad que quieran ayudar con el trabajo.
* Tenemos la visión de la iglesia como una casa que está siempre abierta y llena de vida, donde la gente encuentran una bienvenida, una conexión y conversación, no importa lo que son y como luchan. Tenemos la visión de la iglesia como un recurso donde la gente pueden venir y saber que encontrarán ayuda (por ejemplo, personas mayores, personas con hambre, padres solteros).

We are a dynamic, inclusive church, proud to serve our community of Norwood in the North Bronx -- "A Place of Grace in Norwood." Epiphany is open to all, and we welcome them with open arms. We live the gospel by bringing God’s love into the world in Christ, in action as well as word.
