Meet The Pastor

Pastor Clark Hess
The Church in East Dayton (formerly known as The Church on Third) had its humble beginnings in the back room of Pastor Micah Hill's house. It began in 2008 simply as a time of Bible study and prayer on Thursday nights. Over time worship was added and it became a time of intercession and fellowship with young adults of all denominations and backgrounds across the city of Dayton. It was then that we adopted the name "Project Generation" because we are seeking to become a generation sold out to Christ and to reach our generation for that cause. In the summer of 2010 the leadership of Project Generation had all began feeling the calling of the Lord to move from a young adults ministry into a church. Many leaders had felt God tugging on their hearts at different times for the church transition. The leadership all came together for the remainder of 2010 and decided that we would move into a building on Third Street in inner-city Dayton, Ohio that was made available through a number of random God-ordained run-ins with various people. For the remainder of 2010 we began the planning process. We launched on the second Sunday of January 2011 and we've been on this wild ride with Christ since. We are truly blessed to be counted as worthy to participate in Christ's ministry to the world. We have seen much fruit and we are excited to see what God has in store for us in the years to come.
