What Makes “The Crossing” Unique?
That’s a great question! We believe there are four essential components of our vision which make “The Crossing” unique from many other churches in our community.
Our Vision:
1. Being Culturally Relevant Without Compromising The Bible (What We Teach)
2. Accurate And Application Driven Teaching (How We Teach It)
3. Community Outreach Through Biblical Counseling (How We Reach The Greater Community)
4. Supporting The Gift Of Life Through Foster/Adoption And Crisis Pregnancy Support And Service: (How We Impact The Lives Of Children Both Inside And Outside The Womb In Our Local Community)
Why do these things matter?
Careful and prayerful consideration has gone into deciding the direction for our methodology because we understand the significant impact it will have on the community of Cypress which God has called us to reach. Moreover, we believe that God has given us a specific vision for The Crossing At Cypress church which is both unique and needed in the post-Christian culture we live in today.
Part of our vision as The Crossing is to equip our congregation with the needed tools to understand, defend and stand firm in their faith. We desire to provide explicitly Biblical counseling with the goal of spiritual and relational restoration. We are committed to be a voice for the unborn and help the orphans in our community through foster and adoption support.
Finally and above all else, we will teach God’s Word in a way that is understandable and relevant BUT without compromising the integrity and totality of its content.
